Every Saturday night, my parents would tell us miracle stories about the Baal Shem Tov, each one more enchanting than the next. It became a lifelong dream of mine to make the journey to the Baal Shem Tov's resting place in Medzhibuzh. For over ten years I planned trip after trip, and each one was mysteriously canceled, as if HaShem was gently telling me, “not yet.” Then last year, for my birthday, despite every obstacle along the way, I finally made it to the Baal Shem Tov and it changed me forever. The serenity I felt there was beyond this world.

The flowers of Medzhibuzh were some of the most beautiful I have ever seen. It is as if, since the Baal Shem Tov is buried there, his holiness seeped into the very soil, so that whatever sprouts from it is blessed.

One of the highlights was visiting the Baal Shem Tov’s miraculous wellspring, whose waters have healed countless illnesses over the generations. I drew the actual water straight from the well and used it to paint this collection.

My wish for this series is that each of you bring the wellspring of the Baal Shem Tov into your home, and see miracles and revealed blessings and we merit the Geulah Shlayma immediately.
