Shira Jacobson was born in Laguna Beach, California and moved to Israel 13 years ago, fulfilling a lifelong dream to live in the Land that inspires her art. From a young age, she expressed herself through painting, visual storytelling, and digital creation.
At 12 years old, Shira's artistic father gifted her first oil painting kit and she fell in love with the medium. As a young teenager, she was hired by large corporations to create digital artwork including magazine ads, campaign media and product packaging. Shira's art gained traction and she created her world-renowned brand, Kosher Swag, featuring her digital art work and apparel, every piece made with her entire heart.
MEET
Before every painting, Shira lights a candle symbolic to the Eternal Flame of the Beit Hamikdash, takes a dip in the ocean for spiritual purification, turns up joyful music and paints from her heart while dancing in her Jerusalem art studio.Shira never does any rough drafts beforehand because she feels with spontaneity, G-d directs the brushstrokes best. Her work radiates a passionate love for Israel and a vibrant spirituality that shines through every color, brushstroke, and design.
When she isn’t painting, Shira is either traveling around Israel creating viral videos for her Instagram platform @theshirashow, teaching Torah at Jerusalem’s leading women’s center, consulting long-time marketing clients, volunteering through her non-profit, Team Moshiach to bring food and care packages to families in need across Israel, or surfing on Israel's beautiful coast.
